Overview
As a carpenter you are the main force behind Cooling Towers LLC. Cooling Towers LLC will provide you with the tools and training needed to perform your job safely and efficiently. You will be expected to know and follow all facility and company safety policies. Cooling Towers LLC prides itself in our safety record. We will expect you to have the same pride and commitment in safety. As a carpenter you will report directly to your foreman or your foreman’s appointed leadman. You will need to be able to follow directions and be expected to ask questions as they arise. You will want to follow the chain of command when questions or concerns arise. However, if you cannot get the help need you can always go to the superintendent. You will be assigned multiple tasks throughout the day. It is important to have pride in your work and not to take short cuts or rush. You will need to be a good multitasker and be able to retain instructions. You will always also be expected to be professional when on the job site and maintain a professional appearance. You will also be expected to supply your own hand tools; a tool list is included for review. Cooling Towers LLC believes in promoting within. Spend the time to train with your foreman and leadman to advance. This will create a strong and motivated crew. With this attitude and work ethic you will advance in no time.
Responsibility List
· Come prepared to work everyday
· Know all the safety rules and policies (if you have questions ask)
· Follow permit requirements
· Follow LOTO requirements
· Follow confined space requirements
· Follow instructions given by your supervisor, foreman, or leadman
· Use stop work authority if asked to do something you are not comfortable with or it feels wrong
· Eliminate or identify safety hazards as you see them (you see it you own it)
· Ask Questions
· Stay on task and productive
· Report when inventory is low to your foreman or leadman
· Inspect tools and safety equipment
· Communicate issues with the foreman or leadman
· Have a clear understanding of the job task you are assigned to
· Work at heights
· Work in confined spaces
· Act Professionally
· Dress professionally
· Report incidents to your foreman
· Have all the tools on the tool list
· Keep work area clean
· Clean up work area after completion
· Perform each job task with safety, quality, and efficiency (in that order)
